Hershberg and Hershberg Consulting Engineers and Land Surveyors
Town of Colonie, Albany County, NY
Bagdon Environmental was retained by CapCom Federal Credit Union to conduct an ecological assessment and wetland delineation on the proposed site located in the Town of Colonie, Albany County, New York. The proposed project entails the construction of a banking facility with office buildings, parking lots and associated utilities.
As a result of the wetland delineation, it was found that all wetlands onsite were isolated and therefore not subject to regulatory jurisdiction. Detailed documentation of site soils, vegetation and hydrology was compiled to make the case for the isolated wetlands determination. Bagdon Environmental’s findings were validated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and EPA allowing the project to move forward without either agencies’ involvement. In addition, the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation concurred with Bagdon Environmental’s conclusions that no endangered species or habitats would be impacted by the project.
